Alberto Haddad is the Boston-based Managing Partner of “Melcion, Chassagne & Compagnie”. He advises entrepreneurs and supports them in the development of their projects over their lifetime. Alberto Haddad has been nominated by French government decree to serve as an active Foreign Trade Advisor for the New England region. He also serves on the advisory board of Gatetrade www.gatetrade.com), and “Innovate! Europe” http://www.innovate-events.com  (a Guidewire Group intiative).

Alberto is also a member of Mentonet (www.mentonet.com). Prior to “Melcion, Chassagne & Compagnie”, Mr. Haddad was the founder and CEO of a services company he sold early 2005. Before that, he ran his own advisory company, “Technology Square Partners” and acted as the CEO-US for France-based “Startup Avenue”.

Prior to moving to Boston, MA, Mr. Haddad lived in London, UK where he founded “ViaLusso”, an internet-based business serving the Business to Business and Business to Consumer communities. Before founding ViaLusso, he was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company, a leading Strategic Management consulting firm in their London office. At McKinsey, advised Fortune 100 clients and technology upstarts. During his tenure, Mr. Haddad spearheaded McKinsey’s efforts in the Middle East, and established their offices in the UAE. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. Haddad held various management positions at Eastman Kodak.

He was worldwide director for supply chain and logistics for Industrial Imaging and before that headed international business development for Clinical Diagnostics, covering the Middle-East, Africa and South East Asia. While completing his graduate studies in France, Alberto also worked for KPMG-Peat Marwick, IBM-France, IBM-Europe, Olivetti, and INSEL. He started his career at BAII, a BNP-Paribas-owned bank, in their trading division. Mr. Haddad holds a Msc (MBA) from MIT Sloan, a “diplôme” in international business and Finance (Ecofi) from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, in France and a B.A. in Economics from the American University of Beirut.
