“I have been very happy to be a member of FACCNE since 2000 and a contributor to the “Le Courrier” newsletter since 2001. As an immigration attorney, FACCNE is an ideal organization for me to choose to have this involvement. Both my membership and newsletter column have been a great way to network, find new clients, and maintain contact with existing clients. I continue to renew my membership and column every year because it has been so worthwhile. FACCNE has a very active and enthusiastic membership, which makes attending events and participating both fun and interesting. FACCNE is also well-run and well-organized, so I know that my membership will be worthwhile. I have thoroughly enjoyed my relationship with FACCNE, and I look forward to many more great years. Thank you.”

“When I arrived in Boston, I had to develop a new professional network. Thanks to the FACCNE, I was given a chance to attend useful networking meetings and to contact directly the other members. Thus I took advantage of their numerous and helpful advices to find a new job! "

“Go To Market Consulting (GTMC) is a management and marketing consulting firm offering consultancy services to European companies planning to enter the U.S. market. We joined the FACCNE in 2009 to increase our ties to the French-American business community and benefit from the extensive network of French and international chambers of commerce linked to FACCNE. As CEO, I realize that the FACCNE has significantly increased my deal flow by funneling Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from French Companies with specific needs related to their U.S. market entry strategy; as well as by inviting me to meet with French entrepreneurs who visit Boston.
Recently the FACCNE invited us to participate in an RFP issued by a French firm specialized in the transporting medical products for a market study and for the organization of one-on-one meetings with prospective clients. This company had approached its local Chamber of Commerce in France regarding this exploratory phase of the U.S. market in view of its imminent market entry. The local chamber sent the request on to the FACCNE, which in turn forwarded it to appropriate members. The efficiency of targeted referrals sent by the FACCNE to its members is a very cost effective way for GTMC to increase its reach in France and in the USA—as a result, GTMC recently increased its membership to the Senior Corporate level and aims to strengthen its ties with the FACCNE.”

"I first used the FACC ICDP program last summer to hire a French intern with a Ph.D in biology. Priscilla received her convocation to the US Embassy in Paris only 12 days after her file was submitted to the FACC. The dedicated team of J1-visa experts in New York made the entire procedure easy and cost-competitive. Furthermore, our HR manager was put in contact with a professional and friendly correspondent who gave us pertinent advice. I will definitely use the service again, and I would recommend FACCNE to companies of any size that host foreign interns and trainees."

"Just like many young companies in France, CashMachine was interested in developing our activities in the U.S. For this we needed someone in the U.S. prospecting for us, to find e-commerce web sites that could offer specific bargains to our customers. I searched through various channels, and finally the FACCNE proved to be the best one. The FACCNE recommended a very efficient and hard-working person, that despite her young age (23) and the fact that the internet business was brand-new to her, did a very good job. What I appreciated most was her being able to propose her own solutions, each time an issue occurred, rather than waiting for us to tell her what to do.
Three months later, we are still working with her, and thanks to her work contacting local partners, we will be able to make our first step in the American market."

“I am very glad I could take part in the implementation of the new FACCNE Web site on many different levels. First and foremost, it gave me the chance to work on something completely new for me—looking at the result, I am very satisfied to have spent so much effort and time to get the Web site done. Also, while creating new content and pages, I was proud to highlight what the Chamber has to offer to its members and community. The overall experience has been a real asset for me, and I hope that I conveyed that to FACCNE members and community.”

Assistant to FACCNE Executive Director, 2008-2009

"Interning at the Chamber was an extremely rewarding experience for me for many reasons. As a French minor, I was looking for a professional environment in which I could apply my language skills and learn more about potential opportunities for me in the business world. The French-American Chamber of Commerce, New England, allowed me to do just that and more. From the first day, the Executive Director was more than welcoming and strived to accommodate my particular interests. Since one of my goals was to use my language skills, she made sure to communicate the majority of the time in French, even though she could have just as easily communicated in English. Lastly, even as an intern, you are treated as an integral part of the organization and all of your work is highly valued. For anyone interested in business (but not yet sure of which field), non-profit, France, or all of the above, I highly recommend interning at the FACCNE."
Elizabeth Baran interned with FACCNE from June to August 2008.
Student at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C

"In moving to the Boston area, becoming involved with the FACCNE was a key preliminary step in forming ties to a new network which enabled me to maintain the connection with France that I established during a year of studies in Montpellier and Paris. For a young professional, the FACCNE is a natural entry point to mix with the French-American business community in New England. My initial participation as an intern exposed me to the impact of the strong leadership of the organization's board of directors and provided a hands-on experience that included contributing to the newsletter, working with sponsors and coordinating events. In the last few years, in maintaining my ties to the FACCNE as a member of the Business Development and Marketing Committees, I have worked alongside a driven team of directors, volunteers and interns. While my role has centered on raising awareness of the organization and marketing events, in the process, I have gained exposure to numerous burgeoning industries and attended dynamic events that feature a great combination of networking and speaker panels of industry insiders. Most of all, the exchange of perspectives between members - both French and American - and connecting with individuals from other chambers, councils and organizations has been a truly enriching experience.”
Christina Rogers, FACCNE intern August to October 2006
Current member of the FACCNE Marketing Committee

"An internship at the FACCNE gave me wonderful insight into the processes and practices of the non-profit system. I entered it with little previous knowledge of services provided by the Chamber of Commerce and this experience enabled me to meet, and even work alongside, with some of the key figures of New England’s French and American communities. From the very beginning I was part of creating, planning, and implementing new projects tailored to my interests (like working on the new website pattern), while at the same time I also had to take on challenging tasks and situations (like offering sponsorship while working on the Annual Business Award Dinner). In short, it rewarded me with pride, accomplishment and a very unique experience thanks to Valerie and Ludivine which whom I truly enjoyed working with."
