Chamber news |
Dear Members and Friends of the French American Chamber,
On behalf of the Board of Directors and our whole team, I would like to wish you all a very happy, prosperous and peaceful 2017.
More than ever we remain committed to offering you the best French-American networking opportunities in New England. But before I tell you more about our plans for 2017, let me remind you some of the highlights of this past year.
First, 2016 was a very important milestone as we celebrated the FACCNE's 30th anniversary. This culminated with a prestige event in presence of the Ambassador of France to the United States attended by 100 VIP participants in September. Our annual Gala in the spring was the most successful ever and was once more the occasion to reward outstanding companies having a strong impact on the development of business relationship between New England and France. The award winners, MemoryLane.Tv, Hemarina and Sealed Air all made a strong impression to the audience and very recently Hemarina also won the International French Chamber of Commerce Prize in Paris.
In total, we organized 33 events with more than 2,000 participants. Worth mentioning was the creation of the new HR Forum which is facing a growing success addressing topics such as gender pay equality or the new ways of working.
Finally, we also developed close relationship with the Hult International Business School and organized a 10 days' hackathon with a group of marketing students. This was an exciting experience on both sides and opens the door to deeper collaboration in the future.
We are now focusing on 2017 and in addition to the landmark events which you should all have already booked on your calendars (check our website) we want to reach out to all our New England members and are planning two evenings in Manchester, NH and in Portland, ME. Stay tuned for more details and do not hesitate to contact our team if you have suggestions or want to help in anyway.
I particularly want to remind you of 3 events:
As always, we appreciate your membership in FACCNE and look forward to your continued support in the coming year.
