Biopharma VC Funding Through the US-France Lens
On Monday June 16, 2025, the first day of the 2025 BIO Convention in Boston, FACCNE’s FABS and FACC’FIN forums brought together an exceptional panel of experts to explore the cross-border investment landscape for biopharma innovation in Boston during the BIO International Convention.
Hosted at Seyfarth Shaw’s offices and supported by Alira Health, the panel featured Johannes Fruehauf (LabCentral, Biolabs), Paulina Hill (Sanofi Ventures), and Nate Meaux (Silicon Valley Bank), moderated by Alain Eudaric (FACCNE Secretary, Ideal Pathways).
The conversation delved into:
🔹 Investments trends and evolving expectations from VC (low risk but transformative technology)
🔹 How US and French investors are navigating market challenges,
🔹 How having a bicoastal strategy from the beginning is a great opportunity to get the best of both
🔹 Practical strategies for French biopharma companies raising funds in the US (have a permanent presence in the US, be present and visible in the market)
Attendees, many from the Business France North America delegation, engaged in lively Q&A and enjoyed a valuable networking breakfast that strengthened connections across the Atlantic.
👏 Thank you to Seyfarth Shaw for graciously hosting us, to Alira Health for their generous support, to the speakers for sharing their expertise and experience, and to all participants for making time to join us in their busy week!
We’re proud to keep fostering transatlantic collaboration and innovation for the biopharma community!
