Sensorion: Pioneering New Therapies for Hearing Loss

Sensorion is a French clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to developing innovative therapies for inner ear disorders and hearing loss. Its approach focuses on three pillars: Restore, Treat, Prevent, with the ambition of addressing significant unmet medical needs and improving outcomes for patients.

Sensorion’s clinical pipeline includes SENS-401 (Arazasetron), which is being investigated in Phase 2 studies for cisplatin-induced ototoxicity, a form of hearing damage associated with chemotherapy, and in collaboration with Cochlear Limited for patients scheduled to undergo cochlear implantation.

The company is also advancing its gene therapy programs through a strategic collaboration with the Institut Pasteur, focused on the genetics of hearing. These programs aim to address hereditary forms of deafness, including OTOF-GT, targeting mutations in the OTOF gene, and GJB2-GT, targeting hearing loss associated with mutations in the GJB2 gene. Together, these initiatives reflect Sensorion’s commitment to developing targeted treatments for hearing loss in both adults and children.
