Sales Representative - On-Site & Travel Needed

Since 1981, Inert Corp has specialized in designing customized Gloveboxes, Gas Management Systems and Solvent Purification Systems for a multitude of industries requiring inert atmosphere for air - and/or - moisture sensitive materials. Inert Corp supplies various sectors such as Chemistry, Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Nuclear Medicine, Semiconductor, Additive Manufacturing in industry and academia.
Position Overview
- Generate and qualify leads.
- Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically, or in person; make sales calls to new and existing clients.
- Prepare sales action plans and strategies, schedule sales activity, maintain records for sales reports, and create and implement follow-up procedures for these activities.
- Negotiate with clients, monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management.
- Develop and maintain a customer database, source and develop client referrals.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships.
- Perform quality checks on product and service delivery.
- Conduct product training.
- Carry out market research and surveys, monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
- Identify and participate in sales events and trade shows.
- Develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients.
- Travel to visit prospects and customers.
Desired Skills/ Experience/Attributes
- To be based out of our Amesbury, MA location.
- 3+ years of Sales & Customer Service experience.
- 3+ years of experience in sales of capital equipment.
- Education in or understanding of chemistry and/or chemical, electrical engineering and its applications in academic and industrial setting is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus.
- Knowledge of Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Competitive, self-starter who is both ambitious and works well in a team environment.
- A strong sales presence.
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Travel time estimated 30% nationwide.
- Valid Driver's License.
