Job Summary
The ServiceNow Engineer is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintainance, and development of our internal support systems that include ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and Customer Service Management (CSM), Zendesk Customer Ticketing, Salesforce, and integrations with other internal systems. This role will be working on large projects including product support, ServiceNow implementation, process flow enhancements, request processes, knowledge base development, and user interface design. Participate in user acceptance testing, maintaining site reliability in a production environment, remediation automation, or defining and maintaining monitoring and automated alerting. The ServiceNow Engineer is responsible for developing and managing a large set of support systems and is responsible for delivering project-oriented tasks, which directly improve the daily functions within the support team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for Service Now development including integrating production monitoring systems with the platform and two-way ticket/case integrations with other internal Ticketing Systems.
- Develop and administer monitoring tools for the OVHcloud platform.
- Design, develop, and implement processes, systems, and technology to support and enhance the operations system support function.
- Assist in managing corporate IT systems required to provide IT services to OVHcloud US corporate employees.
- Interface with all levels of management to provide updates on OSS team initiatives and issues.
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of System Support Engineering role in a large corporate environment preferred.
- BA or BS degree in an IS or related field preferred.
- Excellent communications, interpersonal skills, and team oriented.
- Familiarity with administrating, maintaining and troubleshooting Support System Applications. Experience with Service Now, Zen Desk, Salesforce or similar competitors.
- Experience in writing/maintaining JavaScript preferred.
- Familiarity with integrating disparate systems (i.e., implementing workflows that integrate across systems via REST API calls).
- Experience with Server virtualization and server OSS such as Windows Server editions and Linux distros is required. Linux/Unix Administration, or Linux system familiarity.
- Other tools experience desired: i.e., MS Dynamics, CISCO UCCE or other telephony services, database management.
- Some experience or exposure to operations support and remediation.
- Basic fundamental knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, containerization technology, and data center operations.
- ITIL certification preferred
